Chairperson Wang Ping Attended the Launching Ceremony of China Social Innovation Award

On May 26, 2010, YouChange founder and Chairperson Wang Ping as a special guest attended the press conference to launch China Social Innovation Award. When addressing the audience, Chairperson Wang stressed that the establishment of a social innovation award itself was a great experiment in China. It was even more encouraging as the award was initiated and set up by Central Compilation & Translation Bureau, a governmental agency and official academic institution renowned for its academic rigor. She said that this innovation we were experiencing was an exciting historical trend as well as a serious scientific practice and social innovation featuring governmental and non-governmental interaction was emerging. She predicted that the establishment of such an award would generate a wave of new philanthropy.
