Mr. Chen is one of the founders of the China Social Entrepreneur Foundation. He founded the China Guardian Auctions Company as wellas the Taikang Life insurance Company, and is currently the Chairman and CEO of the Taikang Life Insurance Company. Mr. Chen received a Ph.D. in Economics from Wuhan University. In late 2004, he was voted one of the "10 Most Influential Economic Figures in Beijing." In 2005, the Chinese edition of Fortune magazine selected Mr. Chen as "China’s Businessman of the Year for 2004." In 2006, he was voted one of the “50 People who are making Chinese brands international." The Taikang Life Insurance Company that he heads is one of the five largest life insurance companies in China.
