Minister Fan of CPAD Paid Greetings and Tributes to YouChange Volunteers Working for Quake Relief

On April 18, Minister Fan Xiaojian of the State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development asked Director Cao Hongmin of Department of International Cooperation and Non-governmental Poverty Alleviation to write an email to convey his greetings and tributes to YouChange volunteers working for disaster relief operations in Yushu after he read the daily briefing sent by YouChange Emergency Disaster Relief Coordinating Office. 

Minister Fan said in the email:
Please tell them (YouChange staff members and volunteers) that I have read the briefing. A big thank you! High tributes to them and all comrades in the disaster relief operations! Please remind them of their own safety in the operations. Do have a rest when suffering from high altitude sickness. Be brave and follow scientific principles at the same time. All the comrades should take care of each other in this tough and difficult situation. That’s very important. Thanks again. 

On May 3, during his meeting with officials responsible for poverty reduction in Yushu, Minister Fan mentioned YouChange several times and said that YouChange donated seven SUVs to prefectural and county governmental poverty reduction agencies despite its less than adequate financial resources.
