The Volunteer and Volunteer Organizations Support System was independently designed and developed by the YouChange Volunteer Support Centre, which is the implementing organization of YouChange’s Poverty Reduction Volunteer Programs.

The Human Resources website is committed to becoming the largest on-line human resources network for matching supply and demand for volunteers. It has such components as volunteer recruitment and matching, volunteer knowledge expansion and skills enhancement, volunteer interactive community, and volunteer management incentives. YouChange will use this website and network to promote the spirit of volunteerism and to mobilize society.

YouChange Volunteer Centers

YouChange Volunteer centers are set up in poverty stricken areas,and are self managed and operated by permanent and temporary volunteers. The Centers provide volunteers with daily living needs,knowledge and cultural exchange. The centers will become a base for the development and support of the leaders of "new philanthropy", and will serve as a breeding ground for social entrepreneurs. Volunteers who distinguish themselves as potential social entrepreneurs capable of independent operation will receive support from YouChange in the form of funding, technical assistance and social capital.

In 2009, the number of YouChange Volunteer Centers reached eleven, including centers in Ngawa Tibetan and Qiang autonomous prefecture, Mianzhu, Bazhong, Yilong county and Pengzhou in Sichuan Province, Long’an county and Nanning in Guangxi, Weichang and Luanping in Hebei, Jianshi in Hubei and the Liangcun Project Centre in Beijing. Sichuan Province has already established five centers, and will progressively implement a public welfare service network covering the entire province.

YouChange Volunteer Projects

YouChange volunteer projects are collaborative projects between YouChange, NGO's, enterprises and the government with the participation of volunteers with the aim of helping disadvantaged groups and promoting regional development. The main areas which the projects focus on are: character education, disaster response,environmental protection and community management. Projects make use of cross-sectoral collaboration, integrated funding and the development of platforms and facilities in order to develop and launch public welfare projects.
